About the Founder
As the Managing Director of IT8, I have dedicated my career to setting the gold standard in exclusive IT headhunting. My journey began with a Computer Science degree from UWE Bristol in 2003. Since then, I have successfully navigated the complexities of the IT recruitment landscape, culminating in a significant achievement: sourcing and securing over 80 engineers for a scale-up FinTech in London and Turin, resulting in over £6 million in salaries closed in just ten months.
My approach is built on a foundation of integrity and expertise. I don't just fill roles; I challenge both clients and candidates to ensure a perfect strategic fit. With nearly two decades of experience, I am adept at asking the right questions, engaging with passive talent, and understanding the nuanced needs of the tech industry. I am still passionate about what I do, bringing a high level of energy, responsibility, and a touch of humility to every interaction.
My life outside of work has given me a global perspective, from living in Bristol and Australia to solo travel across South America, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. I believe that a healthy mind is crucial for success, which is why I practice daily meditation and stoic philosophy. These practices inform my approach to leadership, ensuring a calm, reasoned, and resilient mindset.
